40th Nerezine regatta of traditional sail boats

Sailing regattas of old pasara boats were held in Nerezine from 1920 to 1942, when they had to be cancelled due to the 2nd World War.

In 1950, Jugo Sailing Club from Mali Lošinjorganised the regatta in Nerezine that encouraged the revival of traditional boats regatta.

The pasara boat regattas were renewed in 1954 and were organised until 1966. Like other traditional games by the sea, they took place during Augušta, folk festival for the Porcijunkla Day (Our Lady of Angels) that later became Nerezine Summer Games.

Until today, 38 regattas were organised; 22 from 1920 to 1942, 12 from 1954 to 1966, and modern regattas from 2011 to 2014.

Regatta starts at 12,00, entartaiment programm at 7 p.m. with a performance of foclore group Studenac and a cappella band Čikat.
